She holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University and a Bachelor of Arts in Issues in Psychology and Deaf Studies from Ottawa University.

There are 14 performance standards which include MAP/EOC testing for Math and Communications Arts in grades 3 - 11, ACT, advanced courses, career education courses, college placement, career education placement, graduation rate, attendance, and AYP (federal) subgroup achievement.
